TIME TO BOYCOTT GAMES OVER 40 POUNDS..................VOTE WITH YOUR FEET................CON MEN !

I agree that ticket prices are excessive, however, your price ceiling would involve a lot of people boycotting the Etihad. I am afraid it won't happen if people can still afford to go.

for the past 3 seasons I've attended the majority of City games home away and in Europe, but after looking at my bank balance and the price of tickets this season, I think I'm finally being priced out.

In the past 3 years I've been given a promotion at work, I still live at home and the only things I really spend a lot of money on is saving up for a mortgage and City. But so far this season I've spent £200+ taking my girlfriend, her brother and his friend to Wembley, Over £600 on a season card, around £400 going to Munich.

Then you look at individual ticket prices:
Newcastle cost me around £50
Arsenal away £64 - later reduced by City to £32. - didn't go out of principle.
Hull away - £50
Villa away cost me about £50
And now West Ham coming up would cost me a minimum of around £80 and that's if I drive myself and cant have a beer.
Then you throw in the couple of home cup games which cost about another £50......

All this, as well as other things like filling up petrol, saving up for Christmas, etc... I don't know how some of you do it, especially those of you who have a family and a mortgage to pay!

I still want to go to games, but I can't justify paying that much to go to a horrible part of London and watch a rubbish team when I can sit in the pub and watch it on tele. I really think in 10/15 years travelling to watch your team will be a thing of the past. Surely something BIG has to be done soon to prevent this from happening.

(And if this is the cost of success, it makes everything about being a football fan bittersweet).

Fucking hell mate. You're hardly being priced out if you're a season ticket holder who's just spunked 400 quid on a european away (as well as going to domestic aways). That's like me whingeing that I'm being priced out of going on the piss because I can only afford to go out round town 4 out of the 7 days of the week. That's life pal!

It's the only way it would change, but it will never happen unfortunately.

Twenty is plenty... Set fee for every team for an away game
This is never ever ever going to happen in the Premier League. We've gone way past that now.

Too many chumps have been paying for the overpriced ones for too long because they can't see the bigger picture. Holding a bedsheet up complaining about the price of a match ticket that you have actually paid for and turned up to - what the fuck? I'm sure the Arsenal board were mortified! Oh, hang on a minute, no, they weren't were they? No, in fact they were probably laughing at you! It was the equivalent of buying a pair of shoes, then standing in the shoe shop with the shoes on the week after holding a bedsheet up complaining about the price of the shoes. Ridiculous!

All of you people who keep paying for these overpriced tickets are ruining this sport for the masses. There needs to be an organised weekend across the Premier League where we all say "we're not turning up!" and show the greedy cunts what we really think.

"Twenty is plenty" is a great slogan, but it's never going to happen now. £35-40 however might be more realistic. No game of football justified being priced at more than £35. But even that won't happen with us all just talking about it. We need to organise something properly.

How can we do this though? Especially in this country where there seems to be a society who just bends over so 'the man' can shove one up their arse and pull their pants back up and all they do is have a little moan about it. How do we get something this big organised across the Premier League? Because this is what is needed. It's gone this far now.

Football is losing hundreds of its core supporters year-on-year because the prices just keep going up. I know a couple of dozen people who used to be seasoncards holders at City who don't go anymore. The main reason above all others is the price of tickets. Something needs to be done!

This. But it will never happen as too many football fans, as evidenced by many on this forum, have an "I'm alright Jack" attitude.

Tbh after reading the poster above you and his high regard for others that have gone to the game I think I'm moving towards the I'm alright Jack brigade

I wasn't going to West ham at those prices, told my mates I'm not going, next day they text me to say they've got me a ticket, I said I'm not going, you are, we've already booked trains was the reply. I'm being bullied into going, cunts.
