pathetic decision that

Courtois didn’t know where to dive as the offside player made a play for the ball.

It had to be given as offside as if the player wasn’t there, Courtois would have caught the ball.

Yip,and why I don’t celebrate any of our goals until VAR has checked it and game has restarted,it has taken that instant spontaneous reaction to any goal now ..

I guess the ref had to view the monitor because the VAR crew wanted him to make the 'influencing play in an offside position' decision.
