Bell, Lee and Summerbee statue | Unveiled (pg19)

No more statues for a while now. Six is more than enough. We have probably more statues than any other football club I can think of now. Any more and it will start to become cheesy and also devalue the meaning and the presence of the existing statues.
Kev & Pep will be next

I’ve just watched the documentary, it is fabulous. I’m not ashamed to say it made me cry; not just for the loss of Colin & Franny, but for personal losses of my younger brother and my dad. Well done to all involved in the whole project, a fantastic tribute to 3 legends.

Finished the documentary, our club do so much so well, a total credit to all involved. Special credit to Francis for taking part and retaining his sense of humour, “he must have been good at plasticine” and how he had made him better looking. Clearly the love of their families comes across and the love they have for the club. Wonderful production and I want to thank the club for commissioning the work of art and although, the trio are at the forefront the rest of the team weren’t forgotten. Although it’s felt like home for a long time The Etihad really is our club’s home now

You're not the only one who's been in tears mate, proper cracked me up seeing Franny.

A cheesy statue with “its great to be a blue“ carved into the plinth?

While we are on the subject of names ,i dont know if you are aware of the new housing development on the old Hyde rd site ?
It would be very fitting to name some streets ,after some Hyde rd players ,not unlike the footballers estate in Moss side
just a thought.
I got in touch with the developers some time ago about a possible archaeological dig but that never got anywhere.
