Tend to agree, he works hard on the pitch and gets stuck in, we need fighters on the team, and if he's playing in blue and doing that and scoring I'll be a fan! Just concerned by the price, but Hughes needs a few allies and Bellamy ticks that box!

Pisses other teams players and fans off and won't shy away. He's a typical British number 10 who can score goals and do better than what we have already got and has got skill. £10m does seem too much, but let's face it, now we're not in a position where we have to save the pennies. If paying £10m for him means we get a regular scorer and pick people up lead from the front when head's drop on a bad day....then I am fully behind Hughes on this decision!

2 questions about your post, if I may

You said that Hughes gets the best out of Bellamy and from that I take it you view that as a sign of a good manager. If that is so of the players that are at the club now(from before his arrival), which ones other than Ireland would you view as players Hughes is getting the best out of?

Since when has Bellamy been a regular goal scorer at the highest level, seeing as he has only been in double figures twice(in the top flight) for the 7 clubs he has played for?
