Did he lose his man or was Sterling actually "marking" the guy? Anyhow, he also made an excellent defensive header on another occasion and I thought overall this was his best defensive effort so far but he has room, and time, for improvement.

He is a threat going forward and is going to cause all sorts of problems (for opponents) with his crosses.

Fucking hell, another one blaming Sterling for everything!! ;)

His delivery is pretty fucking exceptional. He's nearly always on the money. He isn't actually as quick as I thought though, but he'll be some asset for us for the foreseeable future.

His top end speed is very fast. Just isn't quick off the mark. Pretty similar to Yaya actually

Teams will be so scared of his attacking prowess that they will drop back to cover and he will have reduced threat down his flank. Unless a team play into the space he vacates with speed - but the left sided CB of the 3 CBs should a able to cover that. Also noticed that Fern covers the right defender better than the left.

Even though I don't think he's been 100% match fit, I've been really surprised at how much stamina he has to keep getting up and down to support attacks to the very end.

In every game he's still been tonking down the flank until the last minute to whip in balls. Very impressive.

Not impressed with his performance yet.

Off the field, he is the best , on the field maybe he still needs time to adjust and show his real quality.

I am starting to think you are on the wind up.

Agree. And the same goes for Walker who has been equally good. Both players are sprinting some distances. It's why indeed we should have had 4 fullbacks. Missing one, having a versatile one in Danilo and the introduction of 3 at the back will give Pep enough room to rotate Mandy and Walker.

Definitely. A couple of injuries in those positions will leave us a bit light and another versatile full back i.e Danilo-esque would be ideal.
