in hindsight maybe delph should have played today, mendy playing a lot of football and still has a lot to learn. a LOT.

He'll probably end up doing a Bale and moving further forward. Just isn't a natural defender and looks like a winger who has been asked to do a job there.

His lapses are not necessarily defensive. He’s prone to surrendering possession up the field,too, and he is not always aware of the bigger picture in the game. The latter will come with experience but the former needs to be addressed now.

His attacking game was once again top notch. There's work to do defensively, but it was hardly the tragedy some are making it out to be. Ought to have had at least one assist.
