Maybe that Chelsea mistake was the best thing that could ever have happened to him. He’s been brilliant since then!
He was good before then as well!
He'd been defensively solid for a bunch of games and mostly not getting credit. Since the Chelsea win he came back in way back in November, he's been pretty much solid at the back, knocked back by a blatant foul on him in the Wolves game which people mindlessly blamed him for because he was a scapegoat, and then the Gundogan mix up.
What's been great post lockdown is he looks like he's regaining confidence in his body and a bit like an academy kid coming through he's not just trying to get through games now, he's really looking to take people on.
