I think the injuries have caused him to lose some pace, crucial for his game
He did well against him last year. Its either him, angelino or cancelo at left back all are bad options but i think mendy is the best out of the three optionsReminds me of Maicon at city. No pace clumsy and a defensive liability. Salah will rinse him
He looked like he was in great shape earlier in the season wonder what happenedHe did look like he was lumbering about in that second half, His injuries have taken alot from him, looks like he is carrying a bit too much timber for me.
I hope he comes good because he is clearly a good lad maybe not your run of the mill personality, lets hope he avoids any further injury knock back and pushes on to a whole better level than he is showing now.

He was the only player who could see everything that was happening for their goal, including the goal scorer coming in unmarked. For some reason he backed off instead of moving in to challenge. Not saying he would have stopped him from scoring but it would have made it that more difficult. This current Mendy, in this current City could be a problem. He seems to have lost his pace (understandable) and he is barely getting forward. So we are only really asking him to defend these days and defending has always been the weakest part of his game. I wouldn’t blame him for their goal tonight but I would ask what the fuck he was doing at the far post.
