Benjamin Mendy - City lose case and Mendy awarded £11m in back pay (p168)

Something we just needed done with and to move on from. Mendy had a rightful claim, likewise we had a more than reasonable claim ourselves. Both lost out through seemingly no fault of their own.

The "mendy wins against city" headlines trying to suggest city are the bad guys here is predictable dross. The club had every right to dispute this. Draw a line under it, and try not to sign players wiyh questionable morals who enjoys a regular sex party in the future.

The bad publicity is in overdrive again. We must still have that gypsy curse from Maine road. Sorry traveler curse from Maine road -:)
No, it is the trash media fishing for clicks, they only exist because of controversy. When BM was accused all the media were all over it, he isn’t necessarily innocent, just not enough evidence to prove guilt, but he did break the bail conditions. That is now all in the past, City guilty on all charges, we deserve eternal damnation, give the Etihad to United and move on, we will never win over the gutter press, including the Times, Guardian and Telegraph.

Why?

The judgment ruled we didn’t have to pay him all the money. If he is legally claiming victory here then the same should be applied to city. Who when deciding to purchase said player didn’t disclose his off field attitude towards women.

He can piss off playing the victim here. That’s the trouble these days no one wants to take responsibility for their own actions. He needs to do that and so do his accusers. City once again caught in the crossfire. If anything we are owed a transfer fee from the club he signed with after his release and remuneration from the FA.

Anyway he is a waste of space.

The man may very well be a waste of space and a scumbag of tge highest order, but that does not give City the right to withhold his salary in these circumstances.

As you say, it's up to City to seek a transfer fee if they see fit. However, I suspect that the legal team will already have more than enough on their plates at the moment.

Pay the man his money and move on.

The club will pay him the correct amount based on the judgement. I don’t see why anyone would have an issue with the club. We had clear ground to take this stance.

Mendy if anything needs to take it up with the FA.

The 115 case is already over. Whatever vacuum is left will be filled with hate filled narrative anyway. I’m sure they have more than 1 Pannick button -:)

No axe to grind with Mendy , and whilst he is deemed innocent in law then he shouldn’t be out of pocket. We as his employer incurred costs in replacing him (whether temporary or not). As the criminal Justice System ensured his services were not available to the employer then it should surely be the CPS paying the compensation.

Did you buy a Mendy shirt? Fell for predatory Shark Team slogans? Grabbed a Mendy scarf?
Write a letter claiming your money back from:
Benjamin Mendy, Club Lorient-Bretagne Sud, Rue du Tour des Portes, BP 404, 56100 Lorient, Franc

Didn't Mendy bring the club into disrepute?! Regardless of holding back his wages, and inflicting trauma on him, he should apologise to the fans.
