We'll probably never know. For the best, I imagine. If he is found not guilty do we start playing him again? The whole situation is messy. Did he get off because the girls were lying or due to having a clever lawyer? Seedy subculture.
We still need a lb and a not guilty verdict has to be respected I suppose.
The jury couldn't reach a majority verdict on 1 charge of rape and 1 of attempted rape so those will now go to retrial. Mods - I presume it's ok to post this?

There might not be a retrial. This may sound insensitive, but from a financial rather than a PR point of view, wouldn't it be better for the club if he was found guilty at the retrial so we could sack him for gross misconduct and not have to pay his wages from the date of the allegation onwards?
So what happens if he’s found completely innocent? Surely City just get rid of him regardless
I don't think we're tight enough with our money that we can start wishing for things like that.
Why would you say that? His career is probably in tatters - this long without playing etc. And City may let him go because his ability wouldn't be good enough but if he was good enough why would he not play again? Innocent (if the remaining ones are also found not guilty) in a court of law means you are completely free to continue your lifeSo what happens if he’s found completely innocent?
