He's been found not guilty on most counts but faces retrial for 2 others

You would just hope that justice prevails either way as this is peoples lives not football

No question of him restarting his career with us IMO.
Following his injuries and the baggage this case will have caused he’ll never again be what we once hoped he would be.
Assuming the other charges are eventually dropped it surely would be best all round if he makes a fresh start elsewhere if he wants to continue his football career. Maybe return home to France?

Given the known difficulties of successfully prosecuting rape, that's an incredibly big "if".

If he is found not guilty do we start playing him again? The whole situation is messy. Did he get off because the girls were lying or due to having a clever lawyer? Seedy subculture.

We still need a lb and a not guilty verdict has to be respected I suppose.

Maybe, just maybe as has been said from the start, the women are lying and tried to blackmail him.

We stopped paying him the moment he was charged, I don't think the result of the trial changes anything, his contract will have some sort of reputation or morality clause.

If he is acquitted of all charges, he'd have the right to be paid all of his wages surely?

I can’t see it CPS will not be happy at all about this , plus the girls/ladies won’t want to go through court again after the verdicts that have been delivered
