Ryan Bertrand would be a downgrade on Clichy.

This is a good example of fans making up opinions on players. They believe they are motd experts.

90% of posts are like kids making a move in a football computer game.

Quite entertaining in a banal way.

Making up opinions. That's different from forming an opinion then? Every football fan forms an opinion on the football they watch and based on what I have seen in person and on the box, Betrand is a very average player who would be a step down on the Gael Clichy we had last season. I'd be amazed if we are really in for him.

Have you played enough video games to form that opinion? Because your choice of terminology would suggest not.

Correct kid. Never played a video game (unlike your good self).
I have however played , coached and watched enough real football however.
The words were chosen carefully enough when I said " making up an opinion"
A media outlet could make up a name, a virtual player if you like, and some posters would "form" an opinion in that player.

He's worth 40m, we should pay that fee.

Don't embarrass ourselves into believing this "report" has any grain of truth.

We don't suddenly arrive mid June and discover the asking price is higher than we are prepared to pay.

Especially so, when than club is Monaco, having already concluded the discussions over Silva.

You know it's nearing the end game for sealing our transfers when shit is pedalled such as...

A - They prefer United
B - We are willing to pay £1m a week wages
C - The player prefers to live in London
D - Chelsea have made a dramatic late bid
E - United didn't want them anyway
