Truth is mate too many of our fans on here are more concerned with what their rag mates say to them in the playground or pub.

The rest are just very naughty boys......
Spot on. Too much notice paid to what the media and other fans say about us "buying the league" or "oil rich city" it's all bollox, get the players in we need to be the best team, the price is for jealous people to winge about.

Hi mate, I'm off to Nice next week. Never heard of Eze to be honest. Do you recommend?
Sorry to go OT. Delighted if this comes off btw.

Definitely. Picturesque town in the hills above Nice. Well worth spending a morning there. Great train service along the coast as well, Monaco 20 minutes away, Cannes in the other direction. Have a great time

I hold my hand up. Mainly due to the fact that the "rumoured 40+ million" seemed to have jumped to over 50 due to the fact that Monaco thought Mendy was worth at least as much as Walker. Walker's price does however include the home grown surcharge.

Having said all that I am delighted that we have dealt with all the problem positions before the end of July.

...................Ederson
Walker......Kompany...Otamendi....Mendy
....................Dinho
Bernardo.....Silva.....KdB.......Leroy
...............Jesus

subs

Yaya, Kun, Sterling,Stones, Danilo, Gundongan, Bravo, Tosin, Foden

Personally would keep Nacho as our third striker and get CB cover for VK. Stones could get some games in midfield.

On paper the weak link does seem to be the "pivot position" as while Dinho is a very good player, he is not in the same class as Busquets, Alonso But then who is and one of them has retired.

Let's be honest about transfer fees, we all know that every season players fees will rise and so does it really matter to us as fans that player A costs £50 million today and next year if we bought him it could be £60million or more.
I for one don't give a fuck what other clubs fans and the rag media think about our transfer policy.
They always put the add ons and wages onto the cost of what we pay but fail to do the same for other clubs.
As far as I'm concerned we have the money to buy the best and compete with Barca, Madrid etc in the transfer market so let's enjoy the ride.
Remember the days when we couldn't buy anybody because we were skint and the scum etc were breaking the transfer record constantly, and we were told we were jealous because we couldn't compete. Well now the wheel has turned and we can spend what we want and they fucking hate it.
Average players are going for crazy money so the players we want will have a premium on them... Do we really care if Mendy etc cost £40 million or £50 million?
I for one don't give a fuck...it's not our money as such...come on City buy the best and fuck the rest.

We still want to be loved, both the owners and the fans.

That changed the moment we rose from the ashes.

We should embrace the levels of bile and jealousy, just as United and Chelsea have done to get where they have.

One issue might be that our fan base is less militant, due to the ageing supporters we have?

We need to be feared and loathed in equal measure.

Let us earn that grudging respect for how we play our football, rather than be ashamed that we are now one of the biggest clubs in the world because we won the lottery.

We bought that ticket every week for 40-odd years, religiously, until our numbers deservedly came up.

Losers do their best, winners go home and feck the prom queen, as the film states.

Throw £200m plus down for Mbappe and Dembele and sit back and enjoy the moral indignation.

100% agree if we can't get Sanchez go all out for Mbappe. Go for it and if we succeed deal with the outrage from the media and jealous fans after
