From the few games I ve watched him, he doesn't seem a 40m player. Rodriguez just left to Milan for about 30m I think?! And I really rated him. I m sure we can find better options if he doesnt come, just as we bought Jesus.
 
Any number of reasons why he might choose Liverpool over us, maybe he likes that soothing scouse accent, maybe he enjoys shell suits, maybe he's been offered a lucrative deal with New Balance. No point speculating about it and its just arrogant to assume he would just pick us automatically.

It would be a shit choice on his part of course, but its still a choice.

Ricardo Rodriguez joined Milan for £15m. I think he'd have fit better under Pellegrini than Pep though.

Since we've become a big draw ourselves, how many of our "targets" have chosen Liverpool? And how many under Klopp? I know we've beat them to Leroy and Gündogan off the top of my head and Media had you believe every Bundesliga and especially Dortmund player would head to Klopp.

Rodriguez is very very meh why do you think he went for 15m and not many were interested Rodriguez has only ever been rated by fans, he is a younger Kolarov there's nothing more to it.

When we were linked with him I start watching him a little bit. He had nothing in common with Kolarov. He had a very different approach of LB position. Much more like Mendy but better defesive skills. I still think he would have been a bargain for 15-20m for us.

I'm not saying we can't or won't get him or that klopp is any more of an attraction for players than Pep. But klopp is a top level manager with a huge personality and public profile so just as Pep is a big draw for us so is klopp for them. The odd player may prefer the cut of klopp's jib as it were.
 
What's up? Mendy isn't coming? For some reason this has been a strange window so far. Not a bad window but quite strange one. Transfers that once seemed good as done now appear far from done and there was one that suddenly happened out of the blue.
