A big big part of my earliest Maine Road memories. Very sad news.Folk like Bernard,Janice in the club shop,Helen ,Roy Clarke in the social club...all City through and through,and always pleased to see me with a smile.Great memories.

The best one I did was. Couldn’t get a ticket for love nor money City v gillingham play off final. Phoned Maine road explained I’d spoken to mr halford and he was leaving me a ticket. The receptionist took my number and left it at that. An hour later Sarah billingham who was his pa sort of person rang me and I gave her a long bullshit story???? She rang back shortly afterwards to say Bernard does remember and has left a ticket for me with her. Well I was off to Maine road like shit of a shovel paid my money and picked the ticket up. Thanks Bernard to be able to attend one of the greatest games in our history!!! Ps always wondered who’s ticket I actually got:) RIP let’s win this chumps league for him
