Bernard

A small update from this guy who seems to be quite respected in relation to Bernard's club...

He says Bernard has been "practically sold" to City to what works out as £11.5million when converted from Brazilian reals.

Hard not to be skeptical... especially if we're signing Isco. Do we plan to revolutionise football with a 0-8-2 formation next year?

Please be true, he optains all football abilities but height.
Play him in leaque cup could make game more exciting and entertained
He could be excellent super-subs as well.

I find the £11m price tag hard to believe. Brazilian clubs like to hold their young talents and usually try to shaft prospective European bidders.

They probably are! He's the Brazilian Glauber

whereas Glauber was .......???

I think this would be a far cleverer signing than the Isco one for many reasons. Financially I think he'll be half the price and half the wages at least. Footballing wise he has the same technical qualities as Isco, but is more adept at playing from wide areas from what I've seen (which granted isn't more than a couple of games of him), and most importantly he has crazy amounts of pace which we desperately lack in our midfield.

It would represent a bigger risk than Isco, but one worth taking IMO.

I'd say his wages would be cheaper too.

I actually hope we make this signing instead of Isco. I'd sooner use the saved cash on making the Cavani deal go through.

I've seen very little of this boy but he does appear to be a real talent and clearly has the sort of pace that we are crying out for.

I'd sign him and Isco though and try to shift Sinclair (not sure he will be fit before this window closes) and maybe Nasri. Although I'd be quite happy to have Nasri, Silva, Bernard, Isco, Navas, Guidetti, Aguero and CAVANI, as our our attacking options: that's eight players from which to perm four for each starting line-up.
