He's Porto bound I think...posted before about his owners having close ties with Porto.

Shame, he'd have been class in the premier league
Exactly the right move for him if this happens. In his time there we can see if be develops to a higher level and sign him in three years.

Perfect!

Just been told by a rag that Bernard came on as a sub for Shaktar last night.

When did he move there? Is it a loan or permanent. Is it another Brazilian with the same name?!

Ah sarcasm, the poor mans wit.

Looks like Shakhtar spent most of the Fernandinho money on Bernard.

On 30 July 2013 Atletico Mineiro President Alexandre Kalil accepted an offer of £22 million from Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk. However, the player's agent and father revealed his son has his heart set on joining FC Porto, although, Kalil revealed Shakhtar were the only club to submit an offer for the player. On 8 August 2013 Shakhtar Donetsk announced the signing of Bernard on five year deal for a reported €25 million. Bernard stated he would travel to Ukraine by private plane to look at Shakhtar's facilities and claimed no deal was in place; now he has signed a five year deal. He made his debut for Ukranian side on the 31st, coming from the bench in the place of Douglas Costa, in the 1-1 draw with FC Metalist Kharkiv.

From Wikipedia, which I found though using Google. Good tip, thanks!

O'globo are saying he doesn't want to go back to Shakhtar and City have bid 40 million euros.

Interesting. Sort of agree that he's not worth that sort of money - however I doubt very much whether it's anywhere near that kind of money we're bidding.
