Bernardo Silva: “Something has to change. You learn who you can go to war with, first of all"

The dressing room is rotten. Not a leader in sight, half of them knowing they are done at the club, and the other half not good enough. When one of your most experienced players says it’s rotten it might be good to listen.

When you have your highest paid player on a 9 year contract and is suddenly too terrified to take a penalty it’s quite obvious which players you wouldn’t want to go to war with.

Nail on head post.

There’s obviously been something bubbling in the background all season.

Of all the shit results this year, I would say that the way we threw a three goal lead away against that Feyenoord pub team was the arguably most alarming, and the one that hinted at the most trouble, because a team at our level should never fall to pieces like that. And we did completely collapse, just like we did against United and Spurs at home, and Arsenal away. Not to mention what happened time and again in the CL.

Interesting though that Bernado referenced the ‘big bosses’ needing to make a change, rather than Guardiola.

I would assume something has happened off the pitch with Foden. He’s been inexplicably out of form for the vast majority of the season. He’s gone from being one of the best players in the world to someone I dread seeing in our starting line-up. It’s weird how much he’s declined.

Not sure why there is a surprise at Bernie’s comments. He has at least once before referred to this after a post match interview. There are problems in that dressing room as we thought. Worrying thing is Pep and the club should bin the rotten apples. Interesting to know who he is calling out.

Whereas you’d be great to be next to in the trenches.
