Best player in the league for me, ball sticks to him like glue, killer passes and can do the dirty work when the other team has the ball.
Sadly, i think Mahrez might have as good of a touch. Just need time to make the rest happen.
i don't disagree with any of that. that's why I said 'sadly,' because he has the thing you can't teach. The 'touch' yet he is nowhere near Bernado."Touch" (whatever that actually is) is only one aspect. Bernardo laps Mahrez multiple times on work ethic, unselfishness, judgment, and simply making his team-mates around him better. He is probably twice the player Mahrez is and he is going to improve further over the next 3 years.
I'll cut Mahrez some slack as it's his first season, but he has never stuck me as a real team player - and his individual skills, while good, are not at the level where he can get away with that. He will have to up his game 2 or 3 levels to be a starter in important games for us.

Before we signed him I wrote a post noting how in watching highlights of his best plays that I noticed a player who's ability to see the play early was limited. I siggsugge he'd need to improve that area grealy to succeed here.Fair enuf. Just was never crazy about Mahrez's signing. Character to me is critical and Mahrez downing tools at Leicester told me a lot about his.
