To be fair he was probably more pissed off after and during Covid, seemed to be a lot more settled last season and it was reflected in how well he played
 
One of the best players at the club. Often a scorer of worldies. Get him signed up for 4 more years please City. Haaland will have a field day playing with Bernardo, Kdb, Cancelo and Jesus.
 
No doubt his comments will have people worrying but another club has to pony up a spectacular amount of money to get him out of City at this time.

I don't want to lose him but if a player is not happy for some reason, City need to manage an exit and replacement that works well for City.

I realise swap deals are rare but if it is the case Barca want him, then FDJ plus money would not be the end of the world.

There's absolutely no comparison, even less if it's where you come from in the first place. The UK offers very little to attract elite sports people beyond big money.

Well I have lived In Italy, Israel, 6 mths in Indonesia, Australia for 3 years should I go on? so I have a bit of an idea about living abroad. Enjoyed them all to varying degrees, but the point of my post is I was able to create a life to enjoy them all even If I had a preference for some over others. Now back in the UK im equally happy here. Rubbish to suggest sportsmen only live here for the money, players like Hamann, Mendieta have chosen to live here long after their careers have finished.

Fully get the homesickness as a reason but not the desire to run down this country as the reason

Yep.

I think he and his agent are smart.. they know he's turning 28 and his next contract will be his last big payday for both of them. So they're non committal in public.. trying to make City nervous into giving him a huge money & long duration extension now.

But the current City contract has 3 more years (2025) but he'd be turning 31 then. He could go the current trend towards leaving on a free and get a huge signing bonus but that's the problem Mane and Salah are having. 30-31 and looking for a big money long term extension with the best years probably behind them.

City did give KDB a long and upgraded contract though so something similar may happen here. Or maybe McAtee is loaned out for 2 years of Bernardo's remaining time here and then integrated in Bernardo's final year.

Either way no reason to be nervous City fans. City hold all the cards here.
