How anyone can say Bernardo is better as a winger at this point is beyond me. He's only been a nailed on starter out wide for us for a few months at the end of the 18/19 season. Other than that, all his best football has come in midfield.

When Bernie goes i believe it will be Bellingham who replaces him, but that won't happen until next summer. Bellingham will be a better fit in our system.

My theory is that Bernardo knows City is gonna offer him an extension next Summer that will be an offer he can't refuse ... and any buying club would struggle to better. So, he's telling Mendes this is your last chance to get me to warmer climes on a legit club.
