I was replying to a poster who said these stories were lies. I would imagine his agent does not talk on his behalf without his permission.

Bernie's agent is playing a dangerous game. Barcelona could lie to Mendes saying that they can afford to sign the player when in reality they not only don't have the funds they can't pay Mendes his cut as well. In another example Dortmund didn't sell both Sancho and Haaland straight away (regardless of agent pressure)

I think Mendes is a bit smarter than that, the guy is a brilliant agent whatever his motives or principles.
