Bernardo Silva

The perfect replacement for Bernardo in my opinion is Barella at inter. He’s a work horse but technically brilliant as well, one of the most underrated midfielders.
I shared your opinion until I watched a few Inter games last season. The work rate if where similarity between those two ends, they are just not the same level, Barella only having a better long-distance shot. He is basically a pocket size version of Gerrard feeling comfortable only in MF on the right side. Bernardo right now doesn't have replacement unless we somehow persuade Barcelona to sell us Pedri or Gavi and hopefully they fulfill their potential . So if he doesn't want to sign an extension, I would do with his the same as what happened with Sterling.

Grealish is a tidy player but once again last evening we saw he cannot finish. It's just baffling that such a good player cannot at the key moment finish simple chances. Even the commentator last evening had announced that Grealish must score before Grealish proved that with him there is no such thing. On this basis alone he cannot be the player behind the striker missing anything that comes his way!
silva was a shit finisher as well and he played behind the striker no problem

I’m more than convinced Jacks goal involvements will treble last seasons total this year, a 4-2-3-1 allows him & Phil to dovetail in & out of the left & 10 role, look at Phil against Athletico, his link up in the hole was brilliant. Jack is starting to feel more important to the team now, he has the respect of the players & Pep trusts him more

David? Spain’s second highest goalscorer of all time?

That David Silva?
I love El Mago but ya he is pretty shit at his finishings. I still don't get how someone so technically brilliant can't place the ball behind the back of the net regularly? But can thread the ball through the needle regularly.

P.S - I miss him,no fuss, no drama always 7-8/10 performance.

yes the same guy he is and was a bad finisher. just because he played long in a good team and accumulated goals means nothing to it.
He played a different role for Spain and they were pretty successful using him in that.

You don’t score 35 international goals by being a poor finisher.

We didn’t maximise his goal output as we needed him to dictate games. We didn’t have Xavi and Iniesta to do that for us.
