Bernardo Silva

He wasn’t great in front of goal. I’d have him behind Sterling comfortably in that regard.

Sometimes the eye test beats out whatever stats you can throw out. There were times where Silva had only the keeper to beat but would look for the pass and we’d end up not scoring.

World class conductor but it would be a lie to suggest finishing was a strong point of his.
yes this is true eye test is also very important. the number of times he has fluffed chances when one on one with keeper or pass it instead of shooting from a good position is numerous. grealish and silva are pretty much similar in how they try to finish. silva did have better positioning in the box which gave him some free goals which jack has to improve.

I understand what your saying but don't you think a cash deal would be far more beneficial?

We need a wide player and a quality one in my opinion, no way is Pep going to play Palmer as much as people are saying, and if Grealish does not kick on we are seriously short after losing Sterling and Jesus.

If Bernardo does go, we must replace him and that will take serious cash, he to me is our best and most influential player, and yes better than KDB for me.

Failure is not an option for Grealish or City, that must be the reality.

Can't afford to lose a world class player like Bernie without getting someone of a similar grade.

I do think many people underestimate the intensity and creativity someone like Neymar could bring, if you put him in the ten he would probably assist as many as Kev.

If you put him out wide, Grealish or Phil can move inside?

My only concern would be the person dropping deeper to help the base of the midfield out?

Just got a horrible feeling with the way barca are doing business- apparently now launching a bid for kounde- that if bernardo is unhappy the deal will get done late in the window and potentially not leave us with much time to fix it.

Hypothetically.....

Real are sorted for MF I believe.
I doubt he would take PSG but I could be wrong.
He is perfect for Barca, but they'd have to do some very serious dealings including get the De Jong deal sorted ASAP.
Bayern... maybe.

City certainly aren't stocked for people to play alongside KDB/Gundo. FDJ would be ok tactically and technically in my view, but we'd definitely be weaker. Bennacer is a good one but Milan have already lost Kessie. I mean... looking at who we might covet, Theo Hernandez doesn't seem massively preferable to the lad Cucurella, and that deal ought to be doable.

Even then anything like this would surely have to be a springboard to something else as well, i.e. Neymar. Sosa. Coman. And it'd still be bizarre to lose so many hard working players in one summer.

I don't see it. I really don't.

Situation; Bernie is okish here, but confident he could fit in at any big club. City are totally delighted with him.

There's an imbalance there, but it stands that City can refuse to sell and let him walk at the end of the contract. We'd have to judge the risk of unrest and/or Bernie's performance suffering.

I think this rumour is approaching the 'crazy' end of the spectrum. There are ways a deal could work for all parties, but any acceptable eventual merry go round would involve an awful lot of them!

After the whole Bernie getting bullied video.. do you think City might consider a FDJ + cash for Bernie deal?
