Barca sources indicate that Bernardo's agent Mendes has approved the possibility of a swap deal.
Gutted if it happens.
Barca would certainly have to pay us morevt than we pay. De Jong would also have to take a pay cut.
How often do swap deals happen these days?
Utter rubbish this rumour

Its nonsense. Barca owe him about 10 million in unpaid wages. They haven't got a pot to pee in. They're going bust.

I meant about Pep's renewal actually.
It's the Bernardo thread, so I assumed that's who you were talking about.

Regarding Pep's future, he said he wants to ensure that him & City are still a good fit for each other. He wants to see how this season goes & talk to the club mid/end of season to see where he & the club stand stand, & how both parties feel about continuing their relationship.

Personally I hope Pep stays until he retires. It's his team moulded in his image but as he said it will come down to results & how he & the club feel about each other.

What do you think about Pep's future?

Have people not learnt that the Barcelona media play a massive hand in throwing names at the wall in order to keep Barca relevant. They were apparently a shot at Haaland according to their media when everyone who watches football knew they were no shot and couldn't afford it. They have to dump a fortune in salary to register their current new signings, they're having no luck there. So their media will throw out names (with help from Mendes) to keep Barca's name clean and distract from what's really going on.

People have overreacted to Pep's comments but he made the same comment a year ago almost word for word.

I doubt Bernardo leaves this summer, if he isn't in the squad Sunday then a discussion is there to be had, but I can't see that happening as Bernardo is a model professional. People need to stop biting at dribble from the Spanish media.

Selling Bernardo Silva should be completely out of the question in thos transfer window. We have already lost Sterling and Jesus we can't afford to lose all three in one window.

No doubt Bernardo will get his move at some stage but under no circumstances should it be now with the players we have lost and the season kicking off on two days time.

As for the whole De Jong for Bernardo Silva swap deal, Bullshit! They owe De Jong £17m in wages and in top of that they would have to give is De Jong and £50 or £60m to get anywhere near Bernardo.

Why would Bernardo wanna join Barca when he sees how much they owe De jong that’s gonna be him sooner rather than later.
