I look at the way our media reports United - endless links to players they have little hope of signing, just for profitable clicks. Why do we think it is different at Barca?

Nearly every other team and fans thinks that we are favourites for the league. On here, at times, you would think that we are doomed, unsuccessful and that our directors have a Machiavellian agenda to keep Barcelona relevant, at all costs. It is, at times, an alternate reality.

Pep has already called out Barcelona so I don’t think there’s that much of an issue personally, I think it’s more us being professional, with a side helping of “be careful who you tread on in the way up”.

As others have stated if he wants to go, let him go. His value will never be higher and it's unlikely he'll sign an extension. But if we slack on getting an equal quality replacement in, this season will be like 2/3 injuries away from being an absolute shitter.

If there is a relationship, with Barca it is very one sided.....we seem to just bend over whenever they come calling.

I wonder how they would react if we went calling for Pedri or Ansu Fati for instance.......would they just let them go.....

There’s several reasons we’re best pals with Barcelona despite that club trying to fuck us over at every opportunity.

One of those reasons sits in the dug out, the others sit in the boardroom.

Soriano fell out with everyone at Barça when he left.

Laporta and others made up a story that Soriano put all the other Barça employees under surveillance and had all their emails hacked. A court threw the case out.

Txiki called the Barça board at the time he left them “unprofessional”.
