If there is a relationship, with Barca it is very one sided.....we seem to just bend over whenever they come calling.

I wonder how they would react if we went calling for Pedri or Ansu Fati for instance.......would they just let them go.....

Laporta and others made up a story that Soriano put all the other Barça employees under surveillance and had all their emails hacked. A court threw the case out.

Txiki called the Barça board at the time he left them “unprofessional”.

Barcelona is actually "more than a football club" like the saying goes. The club literally represents Catalunya, you can fall out with the board and the business side of things but in terms of working towards the betterment and the interest of the club (Club = Catalunya), the general believe is that every son of Catalonian descent has to contribute whichever way they can, that's why we can't really treat them the same way we would treat some other random club, like it or not we have ties to Barcelona.

So we’ve taken them for the ride continuously. Thanks for that. The fee for Torres was hilarious. He isn’t getting on their bench next season as he was so poor and all their upgrades in lewa and rafina.

As for Garcia. utterly useless and will be at Betis by Xmas.

They made a stupid offer for Torres who was hardly a key player.

Do you know what's going on in the background regarding the attempted bribe? Me neither.

They tried to buy Garcia and we refused and attempted to get him to extend (not that anyone on here misses him anyway).

Not all other teams will behave the same as ourselves, so what?

Why?

Not to sell those players in the last year of their contracts would be foolish, we have received over 100m, we are a wealthy club but not stupid.

The question is why it is happening now. We had to sell them as they refused to sign a new contract, something that hadn‘t happened before KDB’s wage increase and Haaland’s arrival.

It may be a coincidence, but I doubt it had nothing to do with money and all about game time only.

Not the first time. Sane was in the last year of his contract when we 'had to' sell him. Tried with Garcia too but Barcelona took thd piss so we kept him. Got 5m for Kolarov in his last year. 15 for Otamendi.

Players like Adebayor, Hart, Robinho, Bridge, Bellamy I think were also sold in their last year, or loaned out and then let go for free or a minimal loan fee.

Sane had already asked to leave.

We didn’t want to keep the others, so they aren‘t really a useful comparison.
