Maybe it's time we play along? Get an unofficial twitter handle to "leak" information to the media, something like "City were interested in doing business with Barca and even lowered their valuation, however FCB were unable to meet up with City's player valuation due to the financial ruin that they currently find themselves in, City are now ready to walk away from the talks".

Hasn't Romero been saying this all summer? Barca can't register anyone - they need to sell FDJ and others to register the players they have already signed. I doubt there would be any capacity at all for Bernardo as well

But you are wrong. We have sold plenty players in the final years of their contracts, for a variety of reasons. You don't get to decide which ones count or don't when saying Raz and Gabi were the first. The first since Haaland arived, sure.

he easily could have been and at the start of the season lots were predicting he would be....

Hindsight is a wonderful thing ..... and Im more commenting on the fact that we took that risk...you think Barca would have let us take one of their squad players mid season? Or the scousers?
