Yeah, I mean, the source is Radio Marca. Always highly suspect of pro-Real leanings influencing their output. Frankly, if you took this morning's stories from the City focused journo's, either just thought about them for a minute, or actually ran them through google translate, you could probably get them to say "City are not listening to any offers from Barca". I mean, you could get "not listening to any offers" from a slight spin on "haven't heard from Barca" or something similar that was in the reports this morning.

Still tho. If the narrative City's breifing holds together - especially the bit that suggests Mendes is siding with us - I'll be delighted. Pretty hopeful now. Away from the briefings and journalism, it really is shit or get off the pot time, and Barca have still got a lot to sort out before they could realistically focus on Bernie.

Barca will have to sort out the wage cap before even bidding and City would be stupid to accept anything less than 75% up front with Barca paying an insurance policy for remaining payments if they go bust.
Similarly £84m is the fee now.
It's now too late to get a replacement hence the comments leaked to the press today.

where was this?

what is mendes and silva goal since duncan is kinda pr for mendes

Lets all take a minute.. and appreciate the small amount of people here on the forums that never actually got nervous over Bernardo leaving when the numbers didnt' make sense from the beginning.

Honestly, could anyone actually see City selling Bernardo for 45 mil to Barca when Cucurella is 63 mil, Fofana is 85 mil, Grealish and Nunez are 100 mil??

I guess logic prevailed with Bernie.. he didn't really want to join a club where he'd be forced to take a paycut for the next transfer window or get booed vs cheered at the Etihad.

And Barca journailists showed they're nothing more than fake news journalists trying to flood the twitter world with chaos so those who can't do simple math start believing their baseless lies and go bonkers.

Nice question...Is Bernie really that desperate to get away from Manchester that he is willing to go to that shit hole Clown club?

Or this may just be Mendes throwing some bone to Duncan castles..

Barcelona journalists showed why they're on the pay roll (probably the only people getting paid) and nothing more than gobshite journalists desperately trying to flood the twitter world with crap in the delusional belief that every fucker on planet loves them and they can pay with monopoly money.

Altered for accuracy

My mate lived in the same building, he insisted all along for the last two summers that Bernie wouldn’t leave, he just got freaked out and painfully homesick during lockdown - especially living in the city centre with no green space. Essentially a gilded cade in a strange land, unable to see family and friends. Totally understandable
Funnily enough my mate has now moved out to Cheshire as well…

Wouldn't buying a house indicate staying beyond 1 more year?

If reports of him staying one year then leaving, wouldn't you just stay at your apartment for that year, why wouwld you buy a house for a year then sell it. Seems odd.

This seems like a long term committment.
