I’m sure everyone who has been to Barcelona likes it. But we don’t live there. Neither does Bernardo atm.

Another barcelona fc aggregator reported this comment from pep as him saying the words 'barcelona football club' not just barcelona the place, but who knows

It really would be the biggest fuck up for some time if he was allowed to leave with days left in the window and we have no replacement lined up. That's why I can't see it happening but these latest quotes from Pep are very odd

Pep knows full well they can't afford to buy Bernardo. Jules Kounde was playing tonight because he can't play official games for them as he's unregistered!

So he knows there's 0% chance of this move happening, which allows him to take a very sympathetic stance towards it in public. He's not refusing Bernie his move and forcing him to stay, and he's not refusing to do business with Barca. It keeps him on side with everyone.

This guy is dying on his sword. He's been adamant all summer that bernardo to barca is on. He's now literally saying our CEO is bullshitting on the situation. I really hope he gets egg on his face after all this

I agree that he’s made the comments knowing that the odds of a serious bid emerging from Barcelona are likely very small, but I’m not sure how his statement helps with regard to Bernado himself.

Not commenting at all would be the easiest and likely most sensible option, but Guardiola still seems intent on pandering to all things Barcelona.

I wonder what the odds are of Romero continuing to get this one completely wrong, make himself look like a twat and then for his reputation to take absolutely no hit whatsoever and for people next summer to carry on saying shit like "well, he's actually a tier 1 for Barca."

What's the benefit on our side to make these claims and continue the media hysteria? Does it make Bernardo more settled? We've got a season to focus on and carrying on this nonsense is an unwelcome distraction.

I never know who you guys think is getting distracted other than the fans.

Do you reckon Kev's going to be getting three hours sleep a night because he's glued to his phone reading is being posted on Barca Universal Twitter account?

Maybe Ederson slams one into his own net because he was distracted by Gerard Romero's latest comment and forgets which way we're shooting.

I doubt it affects them but it simply does us no favours. The way Barca behave with transfer targets is so brazen that it borders on disrespectful; most selling clubs would shut it down immediately. Just for context, they're currently interviewing Bernardo's girlfriend, it's a circus.
 
It seems the left hand (pep) doesn`t know what the right hand (sorriano,txiki) is doing, talking. Or they are playing good cop/bad cop. Otherwise you can`t explain these foolish comments by Pep.
