The most annoying part of this transfer saga is whichever media you read, it states PSG, Barcelona are prioritising Bernardo. Yet they sign every Tom, Dick and Harry, but Bernardo. Barca wanting every player we have, might as well rebrand Barcelona as part of CFG.

PSG have already signed Asensio who plays in Bernardo‘s position. Spunked €60m on Ugarte and €45m on Hernandez yet Bernardo allegedly a priority not a peep of an offer. These clubs are a joke. Laughing stock of European football, how can their fans be proud of them?

I do believe both PSG and Barcelona want him, just seem to have some real difficulty putting their hands in their pockets, especially when the transfer fee needs to be paid to City. Also Bernardo’s agent Jorge Mendes is pretty cosy with PSG at present.

But yes, maybe I shouldn’t believe the media.

Bernardo should forget these clubs because right now they are bending him over.
 
Come up with a decent offer for this calibre of player or fuck off. and that message goes to agent Mendes as well not just potential buyers.
dont even think about anything less than 70m GBP not euros. and even 70m would be a big discounted price just as City trying to be way too nice to help to make it happen. guess what Liverpool didnt try to be nice and fucking charged 120m gbp about 5 years ago (?) for Coutinho who turned out to be third of a player than Bernardo is currently.

pay up or fuck off.

I don’t think we have been paid for Ferran Torres yet so I doubt we would do business with Barca until that debt is settled at least.

Would we sell to a Saudi club?
To our owners it’s probably like selling our best player to the rags.

I guess it fills column inches though

Sorry Bernard but you have two years left
You won’t owe us anything after that and can go where you like for free.
Or you can have a pay rise to extend

Bernardo isn’t going anywhere, well not during this transfer window. He’s stated he wants to end up at Benfica and the optimum time for a new project ahead of returning home was 2021. Wouldn’t be surprised if he stays two more years then leaves on a free. Like Gundo.

Most clubs are not willing to offer more than 40-45 million for Bernardo ,if we get 70-80 million from Saudi ,we should sell him .

Could it be that the so called journalists who make up these stories are the joke ? We never hear anything (and there’s no reason why we should) from City, Bernie or the Clubs involved so for all we know these “links” could be total fabrications. Just like all the stories about players we are “linked” to.

Bernardo wants to leave and if anyone pays close to what we’re asking, he will go. It’s pretty obvious, I just wish this would get done earlier.
The Benfica comment he made once doesn’t sound like a career plan at all. Sounded more like a dream “I would love to end my career there” type of stuff, I don’t remember the exact words. It’s as if Haaland said “sure, I would love to also play for Leeds one day”.
Funnily enough, though, I did see this earlier in the week in this major Portuguese sports paper. The guy who managed him at Benfica B and is close to him says, if he goes to Saudi Arabia, in two years he could be back to Benfica

I read an article last year in 442 , where Bernie said he was open to a move to be near his family, b0ut if that didn't materialise then he would be happy to stay at City. I'm not convinced that he leaves before his contract is up and then he gets a free to Benfica. Probably just wishful thinking on my behalf.
 
you recall when the Kimmich to City news was rife, it didn’t last long before it was shut down. We cannot afford to be content with £45m for Bernardo. It’s almost insulting I promise you. Any team that signs Bernardo have just got for themselves the best technically blessed player that grafts in Europe. He can by himself push a team to elite status if he rocks up at midfield.

I understand that there is little we can do if he wants out but we must also get value. That report that suggested that Rice’s price would be a factor in deciding a price for Bernardo should he leave, is apt in my opinion. We cannot afford to sell ourselves short. What will £45m give you in today’s market? If you love the product you gotta pay up.

I think this is the last summer he tries a move. If he stays he probably signs a new deal that ups his salary significantly AND has that Benfica clause (years plus easy move to Benfica OR just a salary increase but with the two years still there)
 
I still don't think we will sell at £45m. If it was there would be more interested clubs including Benfica.
 
Think he’ll stay this season then go next for a lower fee unless PSG step up the interest now.
