The club should hopefully set a deadline for both player and Barca to say either decide/make a bid or he stays....

It would be really detrimental to sell him with no time to replace him.....I cannt believe the people that run our club would be that stupid

I hope he doesn't leave, but Pep is right - don't stand in the way of a player who wants out.

I don't know what is going on, but he hasn't seemed happy for a couple of years. Sure, he has played well on the pitch but if he really wants to go to Barcelona then we can go, providing we get a reasonable fee. I don't think we can replace him for £50m. Personally, I wouldn't swap him for De Jong either as he doesn't want to leave. I just think we'll struggle to replace him, especially 'late' in the window. I would rather he went to PSG as they will either offer decent swaps or will offer a fee closer to what he's worth - £80m.

Part of me thinks that - maybe - if he goes then it might allow us to play Foden or Grealish in the centre. I do think at times that both players are wasted wide. Both have the same control that Bernardo has and good workrate. We want these players on the ball where they can influence the game a lot more.

I just wonder how money-less Barcelona are managing to find the wages for all these players they are signing. It's very strange. It amazes me why so many players want to go there, they have no chance of winning La Liga or the CL for quite a while either.

Either way, I just hope this doesn't drag on and distract the club. If he wants out, get him sold ASAP and get a replacement in. If he wants to stay, brilliant he's an amazing player. I just don't want this every summer now.

He hasn't done anything to be annoying. I haven't heard a peep from him and every time he comes onto the pitch to play for us he is outstanding. Probably the least annoying player we have ever had, he is great
Maybe I shouldn’t have said “he” is getting annoying more so just the saga in general

Silliest quote in the transfer thread

Well done
Bit of humour mate. Not to be taken seriously. But I really do dislike Vimto reminds me of medicine.

Away from that if Bernie and his dog uproot City will find a replacement. If his heart is not here best to set him free at a price that is palatable for us. A non committed Bernie will not run around like a Duracell operated bunny!

Look, let us be frank.. Do I want Bernardo to go, no.Do I now give a shit about Raheem , Jesus, Zin.no.We know nothing, all rumours. But I agree with Pep.If you want to go fuck off and let our club move forwards.

Pep is right but we don’t dance to anyones tune, not even the ‘mighty’ barca…

This level of negotiation, if it’s even hit that stage, is amateurish at best, we tell them where to go and see you in 12 months; Bernie has literally been put in the corner and nobody puts baby in the corner; 1 more year, hopefully his best and thanks for the professionalism you’ve oozed, simple as that!

It’s already too late to replace him now imo. Don’t really care what gentleman’s agreement we supposedly have with players, tough shit for Bernardo this time, we shouldn’t be letting him go anywhere.

Maybe Barca can cough up the cash promptly next summer.

If Jack sings Bernadooo in the canteen everyday he might change his mind and stay.
