So do I.I worry that he will go for under £60 million which would be scandalous as I just can’t see the fee being what we think it will be .
He’d be great for us, and I’d be disappointed if we didn’t try for him should Bernado leave.Welcome to the club mate, I'd be amazed if we're not in for this lad.
So you really think Rice is a replacement for Bernardo?Clearly you should pay more attention then.
He’s a brilliant player with loads of scope to improve in a good team, and Guardiola has been quoted numerous times over the past few years describing him as exceptional. The rumours were that we would like to bid for him this summer but wouldn’t be able to afford both him and Haaland in the same transfer window. That changes if Bernado were to leave.
He’s also four-plus years younger than Bernado, is English, knows the league already and can genuinely play at centre half as well, which would be very desirable given the injury problems which surround our players. He’s an expensive player because he’s very good, but he could play in our team for the next ten years.
If Rice had a more fancy foreign name like Pilau Rice then you’d all be hungry for him to join.
He’s not similar to Bernardo as a playerClearly you should pay more attention then.

As I’ve outlined above, I think Rice is a different player to Bernado but I think he could be very good alongside Rodri and De Bruyne. He’s got loads of scope to improve and evolve his game, but in the short term he would replace Bernardo’s work rate and legs in midfield. So you really think Rice is a replacement for Bernardo?
