As good as he is, we can't let players of value leave for free, the books and the ffp wankers need to be balanced. Is there a world where this boy stays and sees out his contract?
Would be the best news of the window

The Scousers will love him there. He's only going to Rhyl for his honeymoon so can be back in manchester pretty quickly if needed
All true but we miss out on cashing in on a£70/80m asset. I understand sentiment but business is business.Bernard can sign a contract extension here, stay for 2 more years, go to KSA at 30 for big wages and a fee for City and still be at Benfica for his final years.
Wizard, everyone's a Michael !!
His wedding car will be on bricks quicker than you can say “Accrington Stanley ………. Who are they”The Scousers will love him there.
I’m sure it’s been mentioned on here already and if so I apologise.
I popped out to the shops last night and on the way I was listening to Talksport where they were discussing the Neves move to Saudi Arabia. One of the commentators said that if Bernie accepts their offer it is rumoured he will make £85m a year. They also said Ngolo Kante will earn more money this season than he has made in his whole career to date !
This is seriously head-turning money and nobody could blame a player for taking it. If the Saudis come up with a decent transfer fee, which has to be in the £70/80m range, we have to accept it. It’s just too good a piece of business to turn down. With all the other player exits that will happen in the coming weeks we could end up with a net profit in the transfer market even if we buy Rice and probably still manage to reduce the wage bill.
And the odd vital goal here and thereNobody in world football like Bernardo, just no replacement. If he leaves I will miss that tenacious little fucker.
Absolute pleasure watching his dribbling, tight ball control, agility and fooking work rate. Thank you Bernie and I hope you stay…
