Dont think we want De Jong.if bernie wants barca only and barca need frenkie out then surely thats the deal there?
City won’t do this, they want the best talent to sign for us knowing that if it does not work out for whatever reason (weather, playing time, restaurants etc) we will allow them to move on providing a club meets our valuation. For what it is worth I think this is in our best long term interestCity need to put a final date on this and make it clear it is under the condition we have a replacement. If we lose Silva and don’t bring in a LB we won’t win the League / CL IMHO
Dont think we want De Jong.
As it always should’ve been.if bernie wants barca only and barca need frenkie out then surely thats the deal there?
Pep should come out and call Barca for talking in public about players that aren’t theirs the twats
Also £100 million up front you wankers.
If he wants to go it ain’t for footballing reasons, no chance Barca get close to CL. If it’s for lifestyle then he needs a serious sit down, he will be retired in 10 years he can sit in the sun from his mid 30s forever. If it’s money then let him go.
Lol? There is only one way to read it. There was only one way to read the comments after his Portugal match. There were only one way to read the comments after the preseason matchbut is also happy to stay...possible to read it both ways
so no , it isn't twitter bollocks
Could have outright said it - he is staying
Anyway - trust the club - if he is sold for the valuation city want + get a replacement
There is no way Barca can live with a deal like that. In their plans its more like:-€100m / £85m for Bernardo and €50m/ £42m for De Jong the other way.
I don't know, and I'm not really thinking too much about it as I think anything this month is highly unlikey.earlier in the summer tolmie mentioned that de jong wanted us and pep wanted him? obviously things can change but i wonder then if we got frenkie if that would stop any bellingham chase next summer?
We dont have to sell him if we dont want to.99% of the time I’m not a flapper, but my wings are starting to flutter.
Bernie is such an influential part of our team that it would be well nigh impossible to replace him, and imo FDJ is overrated and on insane wages.
Additionally, Bernie’s absence would leave us with a terribly thin squad for a very disrupted season. I don’t care who the replacement would be at this late stage, it would have a profound impact on our season.
If people think that, with the season starting in two days, we are going to sell one of our first choice players with no replacement available then they need to give their head a wobble.
If Barca comes in and Bernardo wants to leave then I think we will. It's just the way City operate.
Nobody seems to be paying any attention to this. They need to sell about 3 players to register the players they’ve already signed, never mind buying anymore players.Barcelona still don't have the cash and are still struggling to register players
And City go into the season with just Gundogan and Kevin for the two attacking midfielder positions? No chance.
