Bernardo Silva

You can’t lose Bernardo and Gundo in the same window absolutely no chance.
Well then, we've largely screwed it by letting one leave before the other's future was secured.

Nothing is forever mind you - missing Kane and/or another striker looked disastrous, but it ended well.

A move to another European club seems the wiser option considering his Mrs is pregnant; but the trouble is they are going to try and sign Bernardo Silva on the cheap, which is unlikely we will do that seeing he still has a couple years left on his contract. PSG have other options to consider first (including looking to buy back Xavi Simons) and Barcelona are still broke despite signing Ilkay Gundogan. Anything between £115m and £140m is good.

Sorry I know a lot of big clubs are ‘skint’ but if you can’t rub together 60mil + wages for this absolute thoroughbred of a footballer then fuck off. Might be blue tinted spectacles but I think he gets in every team in the world either centrally or wide. He’s hardly old & knackered either.
Would rather they couldn't. Much rather keep him than sign any other player.

I think the club have been fair with him, bring us this amount, and you can leave, and I am sure there would be a list of potential replacements that the club have highlighted. If he does go, I would prefer it be to Saudi, more money, and he wouldn't have to play against us.

I see people using a comparison what we got with Sterling, but he had English tax involved, and was a year younger when we sold him. I would much rather keep him, because even though he has wanted out for maybe two seasons, he has played his guts out for us.

Good Luck Luis Enrique with that PSG squad, and thats before they confirm this summers signings.. what a mess

If Bernado were to leave I think we might struggle to win the league again. Not saying we could or would not but it would need Kovacic to hit the ground running, KP to step up and maybe Foden to make the disruptor 8 position his own.
I am sure we would get another midfield player in but who knows how long it would take them to get up to speed?
What will be fascinating is how Pep will use the players at his disposal - maybe some exciting new tactics will emerge.

Us winning the league did not depend on one player, and nor will it next season.

Rewatched the Madrid game and he was phenomenal. I hope he stays but will respect his decision. This one in particular will hurt.

I love him as a player and hope he stays, but at the end of the day we don't need people here if they don't want to be. I'm getting to the point where I'm not as arsed if he goes. We are not reliant on any one player.

No, but it did require a blend of people with different skillsets and, having already lost Gundo, our ability to keep the ball and tie the opposition up in knots, might find itself seriously compromised next season, if Bernie follows him out the door without a similarly energetic and immensely skilful replacement coming in.....and particularly with Kev's hamstring being currently held together by sellotape and gum......

I agree. If he would rather be elsewhere then so be it. Not sure his options are great right now. Unlikely to get Spain and why the fuck would he want to go to Paris. Maybe the Saudis. I would have thought running down his contract is the best thing he could do or at least arrange a deal to leave on the cheap next year. We would miss the guy if he left but all this farting about is not helpful either.

The reason why I have stopped pining for him to stay is that every season, it's so clear sed need him more.

2 seasons ago, we needed his hustle to help cover Dihno's loss, then we needed his versatility to cover wing, now we need his possession to cover Gundo's possession ability, then we'd need his vision to augment Kev's loss next year.

Yet every year we have to worry if he is leaving. Love him, but I'm tired. He's like the hot girlfriend who's always trying to break up. At some point you have to just say aight Sweetheart, do you.

That said, he should stay coz id like that attempt at 4 titles in a row :p
