Bert Trautmann Trophy

Just an update on sponsorship - many thanks to Elite Industrial, St Helens Town Kit and Leisurewear partners, <a class="postlink" href="http://www.eliteindustrial.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.eliteindustrial.co.uk</a> and 438 Marketing <a class="postlink" href="http://www.438marketing.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.438marketing.com</a> who have both taken some advertising space in the commemorative match programme.

Another Bert Trautmann fan has taken out programme sponsorship for the game - many thanks to Dave at Greenleaf Gardens - Garden Maintenance Services (<a class="postlink" href="http://www.greenleafgardens.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.greenleafgardens.co.uk</a>).

Don't forget to support all our sponsors . . .

I think there will be a lot of people there

Hopefully - I think interest will start to develop over the next week, especially after the Burnley game when fans start to look for their footy fix knowing there's no City fixture over the weekend 14/15 November!

I believe Ian Cheeseman and Paul Lake gave the Bert Trautmann Trophy game a good plug on last night's Blue Tuesday programme on BBC Radio Manchester. Just listening to it on BBC iPlayer . . .

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p004x0t9/Blue_Tuesday_03_11_2009/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0 ... 3_11_2009/</a>

Some interesting topics discussed (the plug for the game is around 11 mins 30 secs in)

Interest is building . . . I have had two telephone calls this morning, one for 24 tickets (a pub in St. Helens), the other for 30 tickets (one of our sponsors . . . yes he's paying for them!)

I see the game gets a mention in tonight's Manchester Evening News - the article also mentions that City's long-serving Secretary Bernard Halford will celebrate 50 years in football by kicking off proceedings . . .

Nice one mate. Keep up the great work!

I am a St helens Town supporter and would like to comment on the way Manchester City as a club have backed this game and the positive feedback that has been received from City supporters, superb is the word I am looking for, I follow Bolton in the Premiership or should I say used to and can't imagine Wanderers ever plugging and getting behind something the way City have, I look forward to the game and thanks again to everyone involved at City for everything, I hope we can form a good bond between our 2 clubs despite being 2 completely different ends of the football ladder, City you are credit to our great game and we look forward to beeting you next week lol, by the way if Robinho can't get in the team at the moment we are a bit short in that position at the moment, Thanks Mr Hughes.
All the best

Andy L.

Just over a week to go to the Trautmann Trophy game! If you're at the COMS for today's game why not get your ticket - only £4 Adults, £2 U16s/OAPs & Seasoncard holders. Look out for the full page advert in today's match programme.

Hopefully the game will serve as a great tribute to Bert and raise monies for some great causes.

Bump!

Just a week to go before the Trautmann Trophy game . . . Mods any chance of putting this thread as a sticky for the remainder of the time before the game?
