Bert Trautmann Trophy

I was there, took my bf along too. A bit disapointed about the crowd, thought more would show up. A bit disapointed too so many of the players linked to this or printed in the programme didn't show either! But i enjoyed it. Only a few out with the raffle as well, damn!

Glad you enjoyed the day and bad luck with the raffle. The team printed in the commemorative programme was given to me last Thursday morning by the team's manager Derek Partridge and appeared in the programme as follows:

The * indicates who played/was at the game

Andy Dibble*
Peter Barnes (c)*
Ian Brightwell*
David Brightwell*
Andy Morrison
Andy May*
Kenny Clements*
Jim Melrose
Frank Carrodus*
Asa Hartford
Neil Pointon*
Les Chapman*
Paul Lake
Kevin O'Connell*
Nicky Summerbee
David White*
Eric Nixon
Steve Redmond
Joe Corrigan*

Other players used by the City Legends side:
Alan Riley
Mike McClean
Leam Kenny

Not sure what happened to the others players - for example Nicky Summerbee was a certainty until Friday and his dad had even written a piece for the programme and he mentioned how proud he was that Nicky was to play in the game - I saw in another post on Bluemoon he'd been playing in a tournament in Tenerife?? Obviously a better offer . . .

Cheers

John

Good report (from a Town perspective) and a few pictures from yesterday's game - video highlights to follow!

Paul Lake was there with his lad. Didn't play for obvious reasons.
