Best Heroes by Oasis

Next best Bluemoon, not the one we know and love. Same title totally different song. The original was by Big star, the better version is by Kendal Johannson.(And yes i did find it while wandering around youtube looking for "our" bluemoon)

Some great choices already for best cover.

I'd have to go with the OP's choice of Hurt by Johnny Cash, or Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley.

As for worse, take your choice from numerous X Factor wannabees (including Hallelujah) .

Radiohead's covers of the Smiths, Joy Division and New Order are all excellent. Not many bands can pull it off like Yorkie and the boys.

Agree with this, i also love Morrissey singing Moon River and That's Entertainment.

The worst cover version ever is without doubt 'Love Will Tear Us Apart', as murdered by Paul Young.
I wish someone would tear that **** apart.

He's not the best is he ?

I instantly also thought Halelluia : best (Jeff Buckley) and worst (that bird off X-Factor)

Special mention to some black, american, male, soulsinging no-mark who comprehensively destroyed the Kate Bush classic This Woman's Work with his "vocal gymnastics"
.....according to google his name is Maxwell, Dear oh dear!
