Some great choices already for best cover.

I'd have to go with the OP's choice of Hurt by Johnny Cash, or Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley.

As for worse, take your choice from numerous X Factor wannabees (including Hallelujah) .

Radiohead's covers of the Smiths, Joy Division and New Order are all excellent. Not many bands can pull it off like Yorkie and the boys.

Agree with this, i also love Morrissey singing Moon River and That's Entertainment.

The worst cover version ever is without doubt 'Love Will Tear Us Apart', as murdered by Paul Young.
I wish someone would tear that **** apart.
