Best and Worst Cover Versions

The worst cover version ever is without doubt 'Love Will Tear Us Apart', as murdered by Paul Young.
I wish someone would tear that **** apart.

I came on here with that very thought in mind.
It didnt take long

That cover should quite simply not have been allowed

Metallica - Turn the page - Bob Seger ( rather raunchy video )
Manfred mann - blinded by the light - Springsteen
Faith no more - Warpig - Black Sabbath

Interesting a few people have said man who sold the world by nirvana. It is fantastic but I think where did you sleep last night from the same concert is the best. It's an old traditional folk song. When cobain sings my girl at the end it's possibly the most powerful vocal I've ever heard.

For a bad one and I love most of his stuff is Noel's version of "There is a Light that never goes out".

Some of the best one's I have heard were posted by Skash the last time we had this thread.

Ska versions of Aha's "Take on Me" and Dexy's "Come on Eileen" . I can't remember the bands but they were fantastic covers. He threw in a couple of others as well.
