Was it 1992?I got a deal from Metro radio in Newcastle…bus down,4 star hotel,Sinatra and a visit to Windsor castle he next day. Some of the best money I’ve ever spent.
I've see Pink Floyd twice and 2 of the tribute ones you mentioned, imo they were just as good.My one regret if you can call it that, is not ever seeing Pink Floyd live.
I’ve had to make do with Aussie, Brit and Pink Floyd Experience, which were all good musically, but obviously couldn’t compare with the real thing.
Difficult to nominate a ‘best’, because there have been so many.
I suppose if I think back, the first to spring to the forefront would be Genesis back in the early 80’s at the NEC, Birmingham. Saw them again in November 2021 in Tronno. Great to see, but extremely disappointing to see Phil Collins in the state he’s in.
Another would be Roger Waters and The Wall, especially because it was so theatrical and visual.
Lynyrd Skynyrd were a bit redneck, but closing with Freebird was bloody epic and the best close of a concert I’ve ever been to.
Although I wouldn’t be considered a big Michael Jackson fan, I did see him at Wembley back in the 80’s and really enjoyed the show.
Santana always put out a great performance, aside from Carlos and his philosophical ramblings.
Always enjoyed Joe Cocker performances, very professional. The same could be said for Roger Hodgson, an entertaining show.
Nickelback were great, plenty of punch and going to see them again in May and looking forward to it.
Enjoyed The Allman Brothers along with Derek Trucks as well. He’s fairly good with a guitar.

Big disappointments, AC/DC and The Who
I don’t go to too many concerts these days, the musicians I like are all getting on a bit and the tickets prices are a piss take, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Joe Bonamassa or Gov’t Mule.
The Australian Pink Floyd are better than Pink Floyd imo.I've see Pink Floyd twice and 2 of the tribute ones you mentioned, imo they were just as good.

Yes were brilliant at BV, I went out and bought Yessongs after I'd saved my pennies..triple album, seemed like a fortune :(Yes were awesome at Belle Vue. Saw them a few years later at Stafford and they were nearly as good!
