The Bridge Chippy in Castleton is pretty good.

Do you remember Hodgkins (or Hotchkins) on Newton rd in Failsworth?
Or Yips on Oldham rd?

The best I ever had was when I was a kid in Woodhouse Park .....Colin's chippy near to the Cornishman pub ....I am sure if there is anyone on here who grew up near there will agree ...... on my last visit to UK I went in Whittakers in Cheadle Hulme which was good too

You're dead right Daz, Colin's was THE best chippy bar none. I used to live in Gorston, so like you I know;) They're all rubbish around here now, all Chinese chippies, can't do a proper fish.
