Best City player nicknames (past & present)

Going back to the 80s, I'm pretty sure Paul Power was referred to as Gladys by some not 'over impressed' City fans, who maybe thought he played like an old woman( not saying old woman can't be good footballers ofcouse) Even though Paul Power (sounds like a superhero doesn't he!)may not have been the most gifted player to wear the shirt he always gave 100% and bit like Edghill some years later got a bit of an unfair rap from some fans imo.
Yeah, the worst nickname on here IMO because of the misguided spite behind it.

Then Power went to Everton at 33 and won the title in his first season.

At the very lowest point in the Maicolm Allinson managership when he bought a staggering number of unachieving players (eg as captain Stephanovic - couldn't speak a word of English, Crystal Palace reserve teenager for £250,000 etc). A disillusioned City supporter placed an advert in the MEN "Complete set of clockwork clowns - £50 the lot. Ask for Tony or Malc" with the club's phone number. They were inundated with calls from interested mothers for kids' presents.

Great story.
