This is confusing, his biography states he had a brother Karl Heinz. Can’t really see ‘Carl’ and Karl Heinz. Bert’s father was called Carl too.

Carl ran in the family. Probably why Bert called himself Carl and not Berhard. They were all called Trautmann too. It’s a bit too late to ask him.
