Best Club in the 80's

I remember going to a place called 'Thursdays' near Victoria Station a few times. I seem to remember they had a few rooms each playing different music.

Which is now a chinese restaurant under suspicion of serving canal goose.

Never ever been in a place like it in my life, the bar scene in Star Wars doesn't even come close and that was just the women, a big heffer wanted to arm wrestle me at the bar for a pint of Bitter, i declined she would have murdered me, one of the most scary looking women i have ever seen ever anywhere

Rotters, The Ritz, Cyprus Tavern and Hippos in Mid. Great times.....was there a club called Saturdays near Victoria station? Had three dance floors.

Thursdays!! That's it. Kicked off in there one night, bar completely smashed up, optics nicked..

I was in there (without specs on)once and headbutted for looking the wrong way!

Had some brilliant nights in D's one of the best clubs manchester as ever had Lazy Lills next door brilliant get in there for 9 o'clock you got in Devilles for nowt.

Yep, and if memory serves me right, they had that bucking bronco - fuck knows how no one got seriously injured on that thing.

The Amber club

Christ mate .... that was a real dive (also in it's previous incarnation as The Lantern) .... one of our mates was a regular, and often he'd come in our local (the nearby Robin Hood Inn on Droylsden Rd ... RIP) and be on orange juice. 'Pulled in the Amber again mate?' and he'd reply 'Yeah .... on antibiotics again too ...'

Tudor Lodge in Moston near the Gardener's Arms was similar ...
