Rush at Birmingham NEC May 1983 - simply stunning

Iron Maiden at the Apollo also May 1983 - A band at the top of their game, the power was amazing

The Pogues at Sloskys May 1986 - absolute bedlam. The energy was something else, how they were so good when so p!ssed I'll never know. If I remember rightly Pete Shelley supported them

Saw them at Sheffield City Hall (I think it was there and not the apollo), probably the same tour. Bruce Dickinson was supposed to enter the stage by surfing the stack of Marshall amps stage left on a dolly* only he fell off it and eventually landed rather heavily on the stage.

*Note: as in the little trucks on tracks that they push film cameras/men around on- not baby tears or some sort of sexual aid.

Stone Roses at Glasgow Green in the summer by a mile, them Primal Scream, Jake Bugg and the View, cannot beat it!

stone roses at newcastle riverside in 1989

got on guestlist by approaching ian brown outside the venue pre-gig, who then invited us inside to see a bit of their soundcheck too, and nabbed a poster of the gig

right down the front for the gig, got one of ian brown's drumsticks from i am the resurrection, then got backstage afterwards and got my poster signed by all the band

Michael Jackson at Leeds Roundhay Park 1988

Prince at the O2 dome

Flaming Lips at the Apollo twice!

Worst gigs -
Dylan at MEN Arena
RHCP Etihad
Prince Maine Rd

Have the RHCP ever done a decent gig? Ive seen them twice, once at a festival and once in manchester and they were awful. Everyone i have ever spoken to whos seen them has said they were shit too. Both times ive seen them and they havent played under the bridge! Fuckers
They were excellent when they supported U2 at slane castle, probably cause it was a support slot, so a condensed set with no bollocking around just the hits

Pink Floyd, Delicate Sound of Thunder Tour, 1989 Maine Road

Pink Floyd for me to but not Maine Road 89, but Stafford Bingley Hall 77 what a fooking show that was, awesome doesn't come close to describing how good it was.
I think I was at the one in Stafford. They played all of Animals, then Wish You Were Here and Money from DSOTM as an encore.
