best european weekend getaway for a couple

In October, anyone got any ideas. not amsterdam or paris. was thinking budapest but cant find a lot of reviews on it.

Geneva or Innsbruck are nice and different. Cheap to get there as well. Easyjet fly to both from Manchester and Liverpool.

Barcelona is good.
Cheap flights to get there. Very easy and inexpensive to get around on the metro, accommodation is plentiful and to suit all budgets.
Loads to see & do and you might get a bit of decent weather.

Same for Nice, with Cannes & Monaco either side of it and lots of coastal villages inbetween.

Dusseldorf/Cologne is excellent, especially if there's a festival on such as the Koln Lichter.

Baden Baden in Bavaria is expensive, but a beautiful place.
