No worries mate, I love these films and although I think there was a similar thread a while back its good to get some new movies Googled as you say and get watching them. All that Hollywood shit gets a bit boring now.

Agree with you about the Hollywood thing. I find that foreign films are often more interesting and less obvious than the usual american stuff. Saw a spanish film last night, 'Even the rain'. Set in Bolivia and whilst it wasnt a classic, it was well worth watching.

A Prophet - Top Film

Not sure if it counts, because its an American film.

But "the three burials of melquiades estrada" is a fantastic movie.

I really enjoyed it, anyway

- Kung Fu Hustle
- Ran (a Japanese samurai movie)
- Rec
- The Descent

Not sure how you are classing The Descent as a foreign film.

However, If you can class an Aussie film as "foreign" then one of the best I've seen in a good while is The Proposition, screenplay and music by Nick Cave and a great cast (Ray Winston, Emily Watson, John Hurt, Guy Pearce et al)

If you want something sick and depraved, the french seem to have cornered the market at the moment with film like Martyrs and Frontiers
