Best Guitar Solos

4 mins 40 seconds in, and the magic starts.
33 years later, and the fella's stood 30 feet in front of me @ Manchester Academy, playing this.

Genius is an over used word, these days.
Not in Hackett's case.
Manlove.

Good call on Steve. One of our best living guitarist and massively underrated.

Steve Howe - Heart of the Sunrise
Jimmy Page - Dazed and Confused
Steve Hackett - Shadow of the Hierophant
Jimi Hendrix - just about anything really
Eric Clapton - Sunshine of your love
Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser - Don't fear the Reaper
Jan Akkerman - Sylvia/Focus 3

I can't believe nobody mentioned Elliott Randall's guitar solo in Reelin' In The Years. Wow, I thought was accepted as one greatest of all time.

Boredom - Buzzcocks. Just two notes repeating 66 times, then ending with a single modulated seventh. Punk perfection.

One from left field here but trust me -
Maggot Brain by Funkadelic. Eddie Hazel was told to play like his mother had just died and what he came up with was incredible.
