best league in the world........ my a**e

Some of the worst football of all top European leagues is played by bottom half Premier League teams.
Our atmospheres are very poor.
The four, possibly five, best teams in Europe don't play in the Premier League (Barça München Dortmund Madrid and Juve; maybe we're on a par with Juve, maybe).
The five best players in the world don't play in the Premier League (Messi CRonaldo Iniesta Falcao Ibrahimovic) - four of them never have and never will and the "but they haven't proven themselves in the Premier League" line is a load of shite.
Our attendances are lower then the Bundesliga.
We don't have Safe Standing.
There isn't as much colour and banner/flag/tifo stuff as other leagues.
Ticket prices are too expensive in the Prem.
One club has won 12 of the last 20 titles - worse ratio than any other top league.

The Premier League is the best league in the world and it's all down to marketing. Once Sky took it over (and I mean literally) they produced a product that the world wanted to see which puts it at the top.

As for the other leagues, once you drop out of the top 2, nobody apart from the home support is really interested.

In my opinion of course.

a bit unfair to say its all to marketing - yes it is sold well around the world, but there is a product behind it to back up the sales talk.
at the moment it looks like its a two horse race, but at the start of the season would anybody have predicted west brom doing what they are doing?
our league is the most unpredictable predictable league of all the other very predictable leagues.....if that makes sense!!!
I totally agree mate, what I'm saying is that since the takeover of the league by Sky, it's got it to where it is now. Without Skys influence would our league be as well branded and sponsored as the others; look at all the new contract from Sky and see what that will bring to the party.

As for the German League that bayern Blade brings up, it is very competitive within itself and the country but does it really have the appeal globally? That's why I mention the home support.
It's getting bigger-and-bigger year-on-year, is the Bundesliga. I now watch every game that is shown on ESPN and all the highlights. It's a great league.

More and more decent players are going to play there. Not long ago there wasn't one single Spanish player playing there and then the best up and coming defensive player in Spain (usually the sort of player nailed on to sign for Barça or Madrid), Javi Martínez, signs for München. That may be only one thing but would the best up and coming Spanish player in any position have signed for a German club, even five years ago?

I reckon within a decade the Bundesliga will be the league the world wants to watch more than any other and will be no.1.

Has anyone got the table of how the tv money will be shared next season?

you would never bet your arm top of the league team would win the bottom one though it usually does. City or United going to QPR is never ever guaranteed three points, even if it most probably would be.

Rightly so, Same thing with La Liga, but an upset is much rarer IMO. Thus making our league better to watch if you watch Big v Small. La Liga is kinda bad that they only give a small % of the TV money to the clubs that aren't Barcelona or R Madrid. They are sorta equal, with Premier leauge just edging out ahead. If Aletico hold onto Falcao and BEAT everyone to the title and finally end the Barca/Madrid dominance then I'll admit that La Liga is the better league.

The best league in he world is the German bundesliga..say Wat u want how wolfsburg cudnt win the title in England..but it takes a lot of talent to beat bayern throughout a season..I don't even think most of the top 4 or 5 in the bpl can do that..there's a reason the bundesliga has random.teams challenging for he title and the next year that same champion is on the brink of relegation..the Germans are quality..British players cannot compare to the Germans or almost any countries ..British players are not quality they have no real talent and natural football touch or I.q besides gareth bale or a handful of players...the reason the epl is where it is today is because of the exceptional foreign talent..and the teams u can't stand watching are mostly British wit a little foreign talent sprinkled in..if I'm from France or Germany and I was surrounded by Stephen Ireland and Jordan henderson I wud think I guess I shudnt expect any technical play I better run and tackle.people and.pray they can give me one give and go this season..

Define best?

The Premier League is the most entertaining by far and that is why it has the best viewing figures all round the world.

Norwich v Sunderland will be a better game than Celta Vigo v Levante.

The four, possibly five, best teams in Europe don't play in the Premier League (Barça München Dortmund Madrid and Juve; maybe we're on a par with Juve, maybe). - agree but when they come up against English opposition only Dortmund and Juve have done anything of note to show that and both of them could be a flash in the pan as unknown teams. Lets see how good they are next season.

We have top players spread out over a few teams.
Our attendances are lower then the Bundesliga.

Ticket prices are too expensive in the Prem. - agree but still packed attendances
One club has won 12 of the last 20 titles - worse ratio than any other top league. - but only slightly - Bayern and Barca won 10 out of last 20

AGREE!!..ESPECIALLY ABOUT THE PART WHERE THE WORST FOOTBALL BEING PLAYED IN EUROPE IS PLAYED BY LOWER SEEDED TEAMS OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE

The best teams are becoming average in CL.

City- raped in CL two points against other Champions in 5 matches. Last year we beat a Bayern B, and a relegated Villarreal side.

Arsenal not factor in CL and goind down at the moment Swansea maybe finish close to them in the end.

United will be raped as soon as they meet a serious team. Last year CL fiasco against Basel, Benfica says it all.

Chelsea won CL last year, wont even make second stage after spending around 80-100 pounds on players.
Not even sure they will make the CL places next year.

I rang talksport today as Mark Saggars said that if we lose next weekend rags being 6 points clear means league virtually done and dusted - I asked had he forgotten they were 8 points clear with only a few games to go last season - they didn't take me call or ring me back
